The Historical Society held its annual Open House and Ice Cream Social on the museum grounds on Saturday, July 13. Homemade ice cream was made on site by Scott Swingle with fresh cream from the Gross Family Dairy.
This year’s special program featured a Flag Ceremony with Patriotic Order Sons of America and Cub Scout Pack 129 and Boy Scout Troop 158. The event also included a presentation by Kevin Wenner, Northeast Region of the Pennsylvania Game Commission, on “Pocono’s Otters and Fishers.” The museum and grounds was open for tours, and, as in previous years, delectable homemade pies were available for purchase.
The Open House and Ice Cream Social was sponsored through the generosity of The French Manor, 2019 Business Partner. All events are free and open to the public.
