The Poconos are known today as the honeymoon capital. Much of its economy is based on recreation and tourism. But in the early 1900s, Quakers from Philadelphia came to the Poconos seeking a return to nature during the summer months and to escape the poor living conditions, heat and poor air quality in the city. Local historian and author Bernadine Lennon will discuss who these Quakers were, where they settled, and their legacy.
