Tom Kennedy (1946–2015) loved local history and was passionate about trains. He traveled throughout the United States to see and learn about our nation’s historic trains. He visited museums and train stations and rode trains that had been restored. He collected books, paintings, postcards, advertisements, signs, maps, schedules, tickets, and all manner of train memorabilia. Part of his extensive collection was presented at the Open House in July 2015. One of the highlights of the exhibition was the H-O scale model railroad operated by Aiden Schafer.
