The Greene-Dreher Historical Society’s Genealogy Group, in cooperation with the Newfoundland Area Library, will host two workshops on how to access ancestry.com for free. The workshops will be held on Thursday, May 3, and Thursday, June 5, at 6:50 pm at the Newfoundland Library on Main Street in Newfoundland. We will teach you the basics of genealogy and help you access Ancestry, one of the largest resources for online family history and genealogy. The class is open to the public; however, you will need a library card for the Newfoundland Public Library to use their computer resources or access Ancestry. Bring your laptop and a paper notebook to the class. For more information or to sign up, please call Ruth Altemier at 570-676-4354, or email us at [email protected]. You may also sign up at the Library.
